JOSIAH TO
Ophthalmology Resident | Mechatronics Engineer
Hello, I’m Josiah, and I am an ophthalmologist “physicianeer” (i.e., physician-engineer) who loves making new electromechanical devices for the eye.
I’m currently an ophthalmology resident at Cook County Health in Chicago, IL where I have the opportunity to manage end-stage, complex eye diseases and do a variety of challenging ophthalmic surgeries.
In addition to residency I am passionate about bridging the gap between ophthalmology and mechatronics engineering, focusing on innovative solutions that enhance the diagnosis and treatment of ocular conditions. By combining clinical and surgical insights with engineering principles, I strive to develop tools that not only improve patient outcomes but also advance the field of ophthalmology.
Feel free to explore my projects and reach out if you have thoughts or questions! I love to connect with new people.
